WALKING IN BROOKLYN AT NIGHT, TIPS TO BE SAFE!

I think everyone in NYC has a moment during their ‘late night walking’ where it becomes a bit frightening. No matter what shape the streets are in, something just gives you the willies! it might be the fact that it’s 4AM, but we moved to NYC to be out that late so don’t say i told you so! Whether its just the willies or actually a dangerous place to be walking is an important question.
I know NYC is much better since Giuliani cleaned it up in the 90s but certain danger still does exist. A lot of young folks walk around without any regard for their safety and i think its horrible when something terrible does happen. I am gonna link up a few sites I would recommend to know as common knowledge and a post written on Craig’s list by a detective kind of ridiculous, lewd, but allot of good talking points. Party hard and keep safe!

Cielo closes it’s doors…but not for long!
New York City’s CIELO is known for world class sound and world renowned DJs. Only at Cielo can you go out on a Thursday night and hear the likes of Benny Bennasi and Chus & Ceballos. This hip night spot is build with a simple concept and has an atmosphere that’s touched with class.
A NYC icon, Cielo is a spot you can enjoy good music without a trashy atmosphere. (You do have your various coke heads sneaking around with their bags of goodies…but you didn’t hear it from The Rabbit!)
To my chagrin, they are being shut down until the the 13 of February. The sign on the door reads:
We are currently working together with the NYPD in an effort to ensure a safe environment for our clientele. To this end, Cielo will be closed from February 1st-12th, 2009. We greatly appreciate your patronage over the last 6 years and thank you for your continued support and patience during this time. We look forward to seeing you again on the dance floor!
Best Regards,
Cielo
If the NYPD want to shut down a club for drugs, they should turn to Pacha…where using a straw on the floor would quite likely cause an overdose!
NYC’s Eco-Friendly Club Greenhouse…Effect!

A night out at GREENHOUSE NYC left me disappointed and questioning whether or not the club itself is as green as it seems…
Lets start at the door. I grew up in this city…I know tough doors. They kept there line well and knew the right hotties to let in, but what a bumble fuck. Don’t hire a amateur to do your door, just don’t. I was amused at most by the poorly crafted glass boxes filled with plants. Acrylic balls hung from the ceiling by the hundreds give a great visual effect. The bar staff are pleasant and quick, drinks are proper but a bit pricey.

Now I know this is supposed to be some place that’s ‘green’ and all. Just knowing the USBC LEED Standard Specifications I wouldn’t doubt that the amount of energy that was created to build such a eco-friendly place definitely outdid its initial concern, the thousands of led light definitely outdo the the 30 percent less output that is required by LEED.
If you think a cultured and educated crowd is enjoying the eco-friendly atmosphere you will be sorely disappointed, the place is filled with high school persona’s. The music was great, however. This is the type of place to go with your friends and just DANCE!
