LATE OF THE PIER: The Bears Are Coming (Emperor Machine Mix)
LATE OF THE PIER will release their debut album Fantasy Black Channel on January 13, 2009 on Astralwerks here in the U.S. Most importantly, it was produced by Erol Alkan who caught both my and the publics eye when he released his mash-up of Kylie Minogue and New Order ‘Cant Get Blue Monday Out Of My Head’ — the version of which she performed at the Brit Awards.
I’ve been in love with the album since I first heard it, so keep a look out for its release. It’s pure glam rock/snyth pop -- you’ll love it!

CUT COPY: Far Away (ddpesh Remix)
Brooklyn based duo ddpesh have released their remix of Far Away by CUT COPY, a track off their amazing album In Ghost Colors which was released last Spring. It’s pretty hot…the ‘pesh boys added a lot of electronic snyths and vocal bleeps, who doesn’t love that?
If you haven’t had a chance to preview the album, give it a shot…you wont be disappointed if you love 80’s melodies and synths! I can’t wait to catch these boys on tour, i’ve missed their recent NYC gigs…gotta get on track!

VAN SHE: Kelly (Lifelike Remix)
VAN SHE are one of my favorite acts on the Modular label. Their debut album V is one of my favorite of the year, and 3rd favorite off Modular this year (Cut Copy & Ladyhawke beat them, sorry guys!)
In 2005 the band released a self-titled debut EP, which included the track Kelly. It’s now being re-released as a single and has been remixed by my one personal favorites, Lifelike. Heavy on the synth & full of 80’s magic! Enjoy.
