Do you know the feeling that you do not want to take a look at something, but you still do? The Road Kill carpet is a continues struggle between attraction and repulsion. It’s a warm, soft, cuddly carpet that attracts you to take a nap on it. But at the same time its a repulsive image of a car-flattened, bloody fox.

The Road Kill Carpet by dutch design company OOOMS is a slightly uncomfortable rug for a middle of the living room conversation piece. I love it. Not even available for sale yet, the carpet is in high demand. This poor Fox will not learn to live another day.

Miapolis 975 Meter Building To Be Built In Miami

Dubai will not have the largest phallus in the world anymore if Guillermo Socarras has a say, he is in battle with the Federal Aviation Administration to secure approval for the height of his tower. Miapolis is a structure planned to be the tallest in the world reaching a whooping 975 meters. how high is that in feet? I don’t know Google it! Its not like we could actually comprehend heights beyond 400 feet anyway.

This super structure will be erected in Miami and will include,

“The 160 storey building would be more than 183 metres higher than the Burj Khalifa if built and would house an amusement park, observatory, restaurants, 1.96 million sq ft of shops, over 1000 apartments, 1 million sq ft office space and a 792 room hotel.”

To see life before its born seems to mesmerize, I am fascinated with this project not on the account of stunning visuals, and not the number of technological steps taken to create this living art is all expected. I wonder at the subtly of existence, on how simple for once it looks to be alive. It seems to be the only state where we know exactly what to do, it means “quite child just exist”. I think seeing our own species or that of another species makes us aware of something we barley take time to notice, we think too much. – jake

AdamFrank’s been casting eerie tree and bird shadows on walls for awhile now with his Lumen series of acid-etched, stainless steel, oil lamp shadow projectors. A recent post on Wire To Ear recently reminded me of absolutely having to buy one to have a shadow on my wall.
