Rabbit goes to China Part 5

Sunday

We landed in Hong Kong.

There was no place in China that surprised me more. It was like stepping 20 years into the future. There was a train that looked like it could have taken you to space, though it only took us to the center of the city in twelve minutes instead of the old hour route. It felt like flying through a dark tube, you can barely feel like you moving it feels a bit more like your suspended in a foreign galaxy.

The city center reminds me of NYC (but the train is soo London tube) with all the lights and sky scrapers and the non-stop flow of people. It’s a cool place that never seems to end, which it kind of doesn’t since it’s built on a huge hill and everything has been built in an upward circular way. You’ll never believe the way people get around. There is an escalator. It goes from the bottom of the hill to the top. It’s not just a hill, were talking more than 15 flights. Until 1:00 the escalator goes up so everybody can get to work. From 1:00 till 6:00 the next morning it goes down so people can get back. The view from the top is spectacular! Every level you pass is so different. From rickety old markets to city shopping centers to tall residential buildings, the sights keep changing and the smell changes with them! But it’s a fun strange place that anybody can enjoy, be it the markets or the city shopping it’s a great place. That’s coming from a city girl like me so all you out there with the metropolitan love, this place is a must see!

Well, it’s good-bye I‘ll totally miss this place! It was defiantly worth it, don’t you think?!
