CUT COPY: Far Away (The Golden Filter Remix)

Cut Copy’s album Lights & Music was one of my favorite of 2008. Far Away is the latest single to be released from the album. The group end the year with a great unofficial remix by The Golden Filter, an act that has been causing quite the stir all over the blog world lately. I’m just getting into them and I can’t wait to hear more. They sent me the remix a few days ago, in perfect 320k quality. Enjoy!
Far Away (The Golden Filter Remix)
Here is a teaser video that was put together for Solid Gold, the debut album release from The Golden Filter. Don’t miss their debut American Live performance on January 30th, 2009 at Le Poisson Rouge in NYC. Lauren Flax and Pink Skull will be supporting the show.
Watch that fox run! Go baby go!

Check out the ‘Queen of Clean’ Martha Stewart teaching SNOOP DOGG how to make mashed potatoes. All delicious until Snoop brings out the cognac.

FILTH AND WISDOM: Film Review + Synopsis
“Show me a beautiful girl and I will show you someone that is tired of fucking her”
…These words uttered by a cynical and tired stripper in the latter part of the movie, define MADONNA’s debut film, FILTH & WISDOM. The storyline is riddled with cliche characters…one outdoing another. Scenes are drenched with Hollywood style emotions, almost making you think your return from the restroom was to a showing of High School Musical 3. I must say some of the montages were absolutely hilarious, besides for the parts when Madonna throws in dancers from her music videos.
As cliche as the characters may be, they were portrayed and dressed brilliantly. There is a fine line of dry reality that makes the film a pleasure to watch. This film will shock and laugh the most stern of audiences. I suggest to see this film, not every director can create a perfect film…but the ability to influence an emotional state of a individual makes Filth and Wisdom worthy of any Friday night.
SYNOPSIS
Three room mates each on a life changing journey. Many lives collide in to meet their own desires. Everyone changes their current situation in someway. Ridiculous Hollywood ending.
