CUT COPY: Far Away (ddpesh Remix)
Brooklyn based duo ddpesh have released their remix of Far Away by CUT COPY, a track off their amazing album In Ghost Colors which was released last Spring. It’s pretty hot…the ‘pesh boys added a lot of electronic snyths and vocal bleeps, who doesn’t love that?
If you haven’t had a chance to preview the album, give it a shot…you wont be disappointed if you love 80’s melodies and synths! I can’t wait to catch these boys on tour, i’ve missed their recent NYC gigs…gotta get on track!

VAN SHE: Kelly (Lifelike Remix)
VAN SHE are one of my favorite acts on the Modular label. Their debut album V is one of my favorite of the year, and 3rd favorite off Modular this year (Cut Copy & Ladyhawke beat them, sorry guys!)
In 2005 the band released a self-titled debut EP, which included the track Kelly. It’s now being re-released as a single and has been remixed by my one personal favorites, Lifelike. Heavy on the synth & full of 80’s magic! Enjoy.

KASABIAN: Thick as Thieves
KASABIAN are currently working on a new album which is slated for a release sometime in 2009. There isn’t much information on the release, other than a few tidbits I found on Wikipedia.
When asked about the direction of the album, frontman Tom Meighan explained, ‘It all joins together which is beautiful, there’s no gaps in it, it’s very psychedelic, there’s very much elements of the first but it’s a more distant sounding Kasabian than we have been with the last two albums.” He also spoke of the title, “It’s a loony title mate, but we have a couple of titles and we have picked one that has lots of words, it’s a tongue twister!”
Sounds promising to me, I like the non-stop record format…I can’t wait. I was very pleased with Empire. In the meantime, i’m going to leave you tonight with a track off the 2007 released Fast Fuse 2-track EP.
